Community Marketing Specialist

The Sunday Weekly, Queensland’s leading ethnic newspaper, is looking for a Community Marketing Specialist to help grow our reach and strengthen relationships with local businesses. We are particularly seeking candidates from Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Korean, or Vietnamese backgrounds to better connect with the diverse communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote The Sunday Weekly by visiting distribution points and connecting with local businesses.

• Engage with communities to increase awareness of our publication.

• Assist with distribution, ensuring newspapers reach key locations.

• Identify advertising opportunities during your visits and refer potential advertisers to our team.

Work Schedule:

• Must be available Thursday or Friday (or both days).

• Flexible start times: You can choose to work early morning, late night, or during the day to suit your schedule.

Schedule:

City: 2 hours

Sunnybank: 4 hours

Gold Coast: 2 hours

Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver’s license and own a vehicle.

• Availability to work on Thursday, Friday, or both days.

• Familiarity with Asian communities in Queensland (Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Korean, Vietnamese, etc.).

• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to connect with business owners.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

• Student visa, working holiday visa, or a citizen.
