Join our small friendly team! We are a boutique motel inToowong seeking a reliable and hardworking housekeeper/room attendant.
About the Role:
- Hours: Approximately 5 hours per day (9:00am – 2:00pm), with flexible days. We operate 7 days a week, so weekend availability is required.
- Duties: Cleaning and servicing guest studio rooms (~32 m²) to a high standard. This includes making beds with fresh linen, cleaning bathrooms, wiping down a small kitchenette, vacuuming/mopping floors, emptying bins, and restocking amenities. You’ll ensure each room is spotless and ready for new guests.
- Work Environment: You’ll typically work independently to manage the day’s room check-outs and stay-overs.
About You:
- Experience: Previous housekeeping or professional cleaning experience is preferred (hotels, motels or serviced apartments). However, we are willing to train someone with the right attitude.
- Skills: High attention to detail and pride in your work. Good time management to complete tasks within the 9am–2pm window. Ability to follow checklists and uphold cleanliness standards.
- Physical Fitness: This is an active, physical job – you’ll be on your feet, bending, lifting mattresses/covers, etc. You should be comfortable performing manual tasks and handling cleaning equipment.
- Reliability: Consistent attendance and punctuality are a must, as our small team relies on each other.
- Friendly and positive attitude. Basic English skills for communication.
What We Offer:
- Competitive Pay: [Option 1: Casual hourly rate of $25-35 per hour + super] – paid fortnightly – OR – [Option 2: A per-room rate (contract arrangement) can be discussed for ABN holders]. We are open to either a casual employment or an ABN contract setup – let us know your preference.
- Consistent Schedule: Daytime shifts (roughly 20–25 hours per week spread over several days).
- Supportive Workplace: All cleaning supplies and equipment provided. We maintain a safe working environment and will train you on our room-cleaning procedures.
- Location: Our motel is in Toowong, close to public transport. Easy commute from most inner Brisbane areas. On-site parking can be arranged if you drive.
